Dicronorhina derbyana layardi, or Derby's flower beetle, is a sub-Saharan species of flower chafer. These beetles are among the most attractive in the world, known for their intricate patterns and beautiful metallic colors. This customized glass vitrine contains three selected males, all reaching the maximum size of around 50 mm, showcasing superb color and quality. They are from the Kafue River in Zambia.

This exceptional specimen of Heteropteryx dilatata, commonly known as the Jungle Nymph, Malaysian Stick Insect, or Malayan Wood Nymph, is elegantly displayed in a glass vitrine. Originating from the Malay Archipelago, specifically the Malay Peninsula and Borneo, this species is a marvel of nature's diversity.

Heteropteryx dilatata is the only described species in the Heteropterygidae family, giving its name to this unique group of insects. Renowned for its impressive size, it is a favorite among insect enthusiasts and frequently kept in zoological institutions and private terrariums.

A beautiful glass vitrine with a male and female of Mecynorhina torquata, is among the largest flower beetles in the world, only surpassed by the goliath beetles.It reaches about 55–85 millimetres (2.2–3.3 in) of length in the males, while the females are slightly smaller, reaching about 50–60 millimetres (2.0–2.4 in) of length.

Also a male and female of Mecynorhina ugandensis that differs from the torquata in the colour more brown and slightly bigger. These beetles are native to tropical Africa, especially in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Cameroon and Uganda. In this case they came from Uganda.

This striking display features two specimens of the Vietnam Forest Scorpion, a species native to the peaty regions of Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos, where they can grow up to 15 cm in length. Rather than being a lethal toxin, the giant scorpion's venom is paralytic. The venom is distilled into medicines against various kinds of microorganisms. It exhibits good results in disc diffusion assay for Bacillus subtilis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus, among others.

The scorpion is farmed for consumption as a novelty food in Vietnam and Thailand. They are also used to make snake wine (scorpion wine).

Behold the beauty of a stunning glass dome housing five Daphnis nerii, commonly known as the Army Green moth. This large hawk-moth species can be found in expansive regions across Africa, Asia, and Hawaii. With its migratory nature, it gracefully travels to parts of eastern and southern Europe, including Turkey, and on rare occasions, even reaches western Europe, including England, and extends as far north as Scotland during the summer season.

The specimens within this collection were carefully sourced from Egypt, adding to their allure. The unique coloration and intricate patterns of the Daphnis nerii make them a truly captivating species. Their vibrant presence adds a touch of fascination and wonder to any decorative setting.

Macrodontia cervicornis (popularly known as the Sabertooth longhorn beetle) is an insect of the order Coleoptera and the family Cerambycidae, subfamily Prioninae; a beetle whose habitat is the humid tropical forests of the Neotropical region; from Colombia and the Guianas to the southern region of Brazil (Paraná), also including Ecuador and Peru. Reaching up to 17 centimeters in length, Macrodontia cervicornis is one of the largest and most beautiful species of beetles in the world, combining extreme rarity.

Interestingly, in the early days of aviation, in the 20th century, Macrodontia cervicornis served as a model for studies on aerodynamics by the French aviator Louis Blériot. Its larvae are a source of food for the indigenous peoples of Brazil, possessing excellent taste.

Papilio blumei, commonly known as the Peacock Swallowtail, is a stunning butterfly belonging to the Papilionidae family. Endemic to the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, this butterfly showcases a wingspan ranging from 120 to 140 mm. One of the most captivating features of P. blumei is the metallic hues adorning its wings, which become particularly mesmerizing when observed from specific angles. Caligo atreus, the yellow-edged giant owl, is a butterfly of the family Nymphalidae. The species can be found from Mexico to Peru.

The wingspan is 140–160 mm. The larvae feed on Musa and Heliconia species and can be a pest for banana cultivation. Adults feed on juices of rotting fruit. Adults are known for their relatively long lifespan compared to other butterflies. Up to 3-4+ months.

These ones have been taken from a deep of 90 meters of Capo Vado, Savona Italy. It is necessary a special technique to dry and to keep it in a perfect shape, turning it a highly decorative and curious species. Sometimes they are attached to sponges and deep water corals.

This species habits until deeps of 800-900 meters.

Cyriopagopus minax known as Thailand black is a medium sized Tarantula.

It is a very fast and aggressive spider, and females are bigger and more dangerous! Even during mating, males are too afraid to simply approach a female and mate with her. Males take it pretty slow, attempting to distract the female with large slapping action from their front pair of legs.

They live in Thailand and Myanmar.

Scolopendra subspinipes is a species of very large centipede found throughout eastern Asia.

It is also found on virtually all land areas around and within the Indian Ocean, all of tropical and subtropical Asia from Russia to the islands of Malaysia and Indonesia, Australia, South and Central America, possibly parts of the southern United States, but how much of this range is natural and how much due to human introduction is unclear.

It is among the largest centipedes with a maximum length of 20 cm, this particular specimen is more than 20 cm! This centipede is an active, aggressive predator that preys on any animal it can overpower. It has been reported as apparent cause of human death.

The most commonly accepted English name is the "White witch". Thysania agrippina is a competitor for title of "largest insect". This may be true by the measure of wingspan—a Brazilian specimen with a wingspan of almost 30 cm (12 in) appears to hold the record.  The "White witch" occurs from Uruguay to Mexico. One story of the derivation of the common name: early naturalists collected specimens of birds and bats with shotguns. An enormous darting flyer high in the canopy was a tempting target. Firing a cloud of pellets at a "White witch" moth did not necessarily bring it down, however, because the body is small relative to the wing area.

3 Sazakia charonda, Japanese Emperor or Great Purple Emperor, is a species of butterfly in the family Nymphalidae.It is native to Japan (from Hokkaidō to Kyūshū), the Korean Peninsula, China, northern Taiwan and northern Vietnam. Its wingspan averages 50 mm (2.0 in) for males, and 65 mm (2.6 in) for females. They are common in the upper canopies of forests, only coming down to feed or to find salt sources. These ones from Korea.

And 3 Lexias pardalis jadeitina, the Common Archduke, is a butterfly of the family Nymphalidae, has a wingspan reaching about 80–90 millimetres (3.1–3.5 in). The upperside of the wings of the male are black with shimmering greenish-blue margins, especially in the hindwings. The uppersides of the cryptic wings of the larger females are dark brown with several rows of yellow spots, a pale green pattern on the lower wings. The wing pattern of yellow spots continue across the thorax and the abdomen. This ones are females and came from Thailand.

Two specimen, one each side, showing the interior and the back of their magnificent wings. The African giant swallowtail, is a butterfly in the family Papilionidae. With a wingspan between 18 and 23 centimetres, it is the largest butterfly in Africa and among the largest butterflies in the world.

The wings are long and narrow and the ground color is orange brown with black markings. Papilio antimachus live in the tropical rainforests of west and central Africa. The distribution area stretches from Angola, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Uganda. The male is larger than the female and can be seen in groups at nectar. The females show themselves less, continually flying high above the tree tops.

The butterfly has no natural enemies because it is very toxic. This one came from Congo.

Ornithoptera priamus, also known as  Green birdwin or New Guinea birdwing is a widespread species of birdwing butterfly found in the central and south Moluccas, New Guinea, Bismarck Archipelago, Solomon Islands, and north-east Australia.

Male are smaller and shows strong green and black colour, female are much bigger and have dark brown colour with clouds of white. Due to habitat environment deforestation this species is know in appendix II of Cites and this ones have Nº E-08191/18 Bundesamt fur Naturschutz, Bonn – Germany.

A high quality handmade glass dome with four Phoebis philea - the Orange-barred sulphur, is a species of butterfly found in the Americas, these ones are from Peru. The species eats nectar from red-colored plants and the larvae feeds on Cassia species. Mounted in a Red Moor wood piece, previously treated and harmless, for the security and prevention of any bacterial problem, it is also presented two Hebomoja glaucippe from Thailand - this particular species presents glacontryphan-M in the wings, a peptide toxin belonging to the family contryphan that is an active constituent of the poisonous venom produced by cone snail (genus Conus). In the Hebomoia glaucippe this toxin works as a defense against predators.

Wood glass dome with two Papilio ulysses from Ceram - Moluccan Island, a superb exclusive species with bright contrast of black and deep blue.

Papilio ulysses - popularly named as Ulysses Butterfly, Blue Mountain Swallowtail, Mountain Blue or Blue Emperor - it is a butterfly of the Papilionidae family and Papilioninae subfamily, found in the Australian biogeographic region and native to the Wallacea area and the island of Nova Guinea, Bismarck archipelago and Northern Australia.

Gorgonocephalus - Astrospartus mediterraneus, a fantastic deep sea starfish, in a new design vitrine with grey lacquered wood base.

This one is taken from a deep of 90 meters of Capo Vado, Savona Italy. It is necessary a special technique to dry and to keep it in a perfect shape, turning it a highly decorative and curious species. Sometimes they are attached to sponges and deep water corals.

This species habits until deeps of 800-900 meters.
