Bryozoa (also known as Polyzoa, Ectoprocta, or commonly "moss animals") are a phylum of simple aquatic invertebrates, mostly found living in sedentary colonies. Each organism, called a zooid, is about 0.5 mm long and uses a crown of tentacles called a lophophore for filter feeding. These colonies, which take various forms such as fans, bushes, or sheets, thrive mainly in tropical waters, though some species exist in polar regions or deep oceanic trenches.

This collection showcases four different species of Bryozoa, collected by a renowned Italian diver from depths of 40-50 meters off the Capo Vado coast, Savona, Italy. It highlights the beauty and diversity of these fascinating organisms, with delicate structures preserved in a striking display.

Gorgonocephalus - Astrospartus mediterraneus, a fantastic deep sea starfish, in a new design vitrine with grey lacquered wood base.

This one is taken from a deep of 90 meters of Capo Vado, Savona Italy. It is necessary a special technique to dry and to keep it in a perfect shape, turning it a highly decorative and curious species. Sometimes they are attached to sponges and deep water corals.

This species habits until deeps of 800-900 meters.

The Spondylus is a marine bivalve from the Spondilidae family, perfectly preserved. The Malleus malleus shell a marine bivalve mollusk in the family Malleidae, it is also known as the black hammer oyster.

This is a uncommon attachment that came out by divers from time to time.
