It features an impressive composition of cowrie shells, wooden beads, shark vertebrae, and a large moon-shaped element carved and polished from the shell of a giant Tridacna clam, all intricately mounted on a woven fiber base.

Bryozoa (also known as Polyzoa, Ectoprocta, or commonly "moss animals") are a phylum of simple aquatic invertebrates, mostly found living in sedentary colonies. Each organism, called a zooid, is about 0.5 mm long and uses a crown of tentacles called a lophophore for filter feeding. These colonies, which take various forms such as fans, bushes, or sheets, thrive mainly in tropical waters, though some species exist in polar regions or deep oceanic trenches.

Giant Barrel Sponge (Xestospongia testudinaria) is a giant species of sponge found in the Indo-Pacific coral reefs. It commonly occurs at depths ranging from over 10 meters to 120 meters and can grow up to a diameter of 1.8 meters. The sponge typically exhibits a brownish-red to brownish-gray coloration, with a hard or stony texture. Due to its impressive size and estimated lifespan of hundreds to possibly thousands of years, the giant barrel sponge has earned the nickname "redwood of the reef." It displays a variable form, often appearing as a large, firm, barrel-shaped structure with a cone-shaped cavity at the top called the osculum. These sponges make beautiful decorative pieces. The specimen in question originates from Luzon, Philippines.

A striking Haliotis cracherodii, commonly known as the black abalone, native to the coastal waters of California. Appreciated for its smooth, sculptural form, the shell features a deep, understated exterior that contrasts with its luminous interior, where subtle iridescent tones emerge as light moves across its surface.

Naturally perforated along one edge, the shell reflects its living function while introducing a rhythmic, graphic detail to its form. Each specimen is unique, shaped by the conditions of its marine environment, with natural variations in tone, texture, and nacre.

This species belong to the Volutidae family, generelly big sized shells. Can reach near 45 cm, gargantuam specimen usually are very scared and few pattern. This specimen is a medium size one but is beautifully patterned.  

Lambis chiragra - Spider shells, from Palawan Isl. Philippines, in dark brass base.

It's a species of very large sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Strombidae, the true conchs. The shell length for this species varies between 85 mm and 320 mm, usually to 170 mm. They have a very thick, robust and heavy shell, with a distinct anterior notch.

Its most prominent characteristic are the six long and curved marginal digitations, expanded from the flaring, thick outer lip and canals. The columella and aperture are lyrate. Female individuals are usually much larger than the male ones.

The Gorgonian species feature unique and distinctive shape, carefully collected by skilled divers from Manado, located in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The gorgonians live between 20 and 100 meters deep in vertical walls. Like corals, gorgonians are animals living in sessile colonial polyps organized in a tree shape. Its structure is a skeleton both soft and hard, called gorgonine and they do not grow in the direction of the sun but perpendicular to the current in order to filter a maximum of water flow.
