These freeform handmade bowls hail from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco and bear many traces of Lamellibranch shells from the Cretaceous period. Each piece is exceptionally unique, crafted from red limestone dating back approximately 100 million years.

This is a beautiful, polished blue calcite giant obelisk from Madagascar.

It has been polished to a glossy finish to highlight the attractive blue color of the mineral. This blue calcite was mined from the Norcross-Madagascar blue calcite fields. This type of calcite likely occurred as a massive conglomerate, formed from mineral rich water solidifying following accumulation as flowstone and/or through precipitative processes.

Color exibits from brownish red to orange this colours is due to the iron presence during its formation. Carnelian is a chalcedony, very close to agate with a harness of seven in the Mohs scale. Carnelian doesn’t show the same type of banding as agate and the color is softer in appearence.
