This is a Museum class specimen with 130mm diameter, taken twenty-five years ago by the late E. Guillot de Suduiraut and in our collection since that.

Heulandite Crystal Cluster – This exquisite cluster showcases perfect rhombic monoclinic crystals of Heulandite in a matrix, boasting a beautiful caramel coloration. Heulandite, belonging to the Zeolite group, can manifest in various colors depending on its composition. Typically found alongside stilbite and other zeolites in the amygdaloidal cavities of basaltic volcanic rocks, as well as occasionally in gneiss and hydrothermal veins. It forms at temperatures below about 100°C, indicating shallow diagenesis in sedimentary rocks where it is present. Heterometrus laoticus - Vietnam Forest Scorpion is a scorpion species found in peaty areas of Vietnam and Laos. They can reach lengths of up to 17 cm. They are a communal species, but cannibalism has been known to occur, and if caught, they can be extremely violent even towards their own kind.

Rather than being a lethal toxin, the giant scorpion's venom is paralytic. The venom is distilled into medicines against various kinds of microorganisms. It exhibits good results in disc diffusion assay for Bacillus subtilis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus, among others.

The scorpion is farmed for consumption as a novelty food in Vietnam and Thailand. They are also used to make snake wine (scorpion wine).

Heteropteryx dilatata is the only described species in the Heteropterygidae family, giving its name to this unique group of insects. Renowned for its impressive size, it is a favorite among insect enthusiasts and frequently kept in zoological institutions and private terrariums.

This beautiful ammonite is a Jurassic Cleoniceras from Madagascar that preserves part of the original mother-of-pearl iridescent shell.

The Ammonite doesn't have any gluing work, the fracture lines on the shell are internal and do not affect the integrity of the fossil.

Chrysoprase is a gemstone variety of Chalcedony, a cryptocrystalline form of silica, containing small quantities of nickel. Material from Madagascar is mined in two localities: Tulear and Ambatondrazaka. This specimen was mined and polished in Tulear. Chrysoprase typically exhibits an apple-green color, but can vary to deep green. It forms underground due to metamorphic agents.

Chrysoprase is highly valued for its aesthetic properties and is often used in jewelry, accessories, art, and ornamentation. It is also popular in lithotherapy, as it can aid in healing psychological and emotional wounds, promote relaxation, reduce anxiety, and boost self-confidence.
