Deep black limestone adorned with numerous Orthoceras fossils from the Upper Devonian period (around 400 million years old) creates a striking and beautiful piece. Extracted and crafted from Erfoud, within the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.

Gabbro is a phaneritic (coarse-grained), mafic intrusive igneous rock formed from the slow cooling of magnesium-rich and iron-rich magma into a holocrystalline mass deep beneath the Earth's surface.

Slow-cooling, coarse-grained gabbro is chemically equivalent to rapid-cooling, fine-grained basalt. Much of the Earth's oceanic crust is made of gabbro, formed at mid-ocean ridges. Gabbro is also found as plutons associated with continental volcanism. By rough analogy, gabbro is to basalt as granite is to rhyolite.

These superb patterned and grained specimen came from central Madagascar. The polishing work is made by local people.

This specimen is a Lithium ore and belongs to the Mica group, showcasing a beautiful example of the dark lilac form. It originates from Minas Gerais, Brazil, and is mounted in a handmade brass base.

Marvel at this exquisite Geode, a natural wonder that reveals an array of vibrant Amethyst crystals alongside a stunning pinecone formation of Calcite crystals. The formation of Amethyst unfolds through a fascinating two-step process, offering a glimpse into the intricate workings of nature.

First, a hollow rock or magmatic geode emerges, shaped by the cooling of lava in conjunction with air and temperature fluctuations. Then, the second stage commences—the creation of the crystal cavity. Amethyst, known for its captivating violet hues, materializes at temperatures lower than 100°C, possibly as low as 60°C. This remarkable transformation begins as porous igneous rocks intersect with groundwater, which is rich in silicates.

As water permeates these hollow rocks, it carries dissolved silica and other minerals, eventually depositing them. The mineral-rich water flows through natural tunnels and gas bubbles within volcanic rocks, forming cavities. The initial layer that adorns the inner walls of volcanic rock is Agate, serving as the foundation for subsequent Quartz formation.

Microcline is an important igneous rock-forming tectosilicate mineral. It is a potassium-rich alkali feldspar. It is common in granite and pegmatites. Microcline forms during slow cooling of orthoclase. Microcline may be clear, white, pale-yellow, brick-red, or green; it is generally characterized by cross-hatch twinning that forms as a result of the transformation of monoclinic orthoclase into triclinic microcline.

This specimen came from Madagascar and have a unique coffee and milk colour.  The polishing work is made by local people.

Quartz can be identified by its formation of crystal points covered by small terminations pointing towards the main point which, when viewed from above look like the diamond skin of a pineapple.

A mysterious crystal, it brings light into dark places and provides enlightenment and truth to the bearer. It is a high vibration crystal but its energy is very gentle perfect for purifying and re-balancing the Heart Chakra.

Milky, cool and seriously magic!

Beautiful red calcite that has been polished into the shape of a six sided obelisk. The base of the obelisk is flat, allowing for aesthetic presentation.

This red calcite was mined from the Norcross-Madagascar orange calcite quarry. This type of calcite likely occurred as a massive conglomerate, formed from mineral rich water solidifying following accumulation as flowstone and/or through precipitative processes.

Beautiful pair of Lápis Lazuli eggs - Lapis lazuli, is a deep-blue metamorphic rock used as a semi-precious stone that has been prized since antiquity for its intense color. As early as the 7th millennium BC, lapis lazuli was mined in the Sar-i Sang mines, in Shortugai, from where this specimen come, and in other mines in Badakhshan province in northeast Afghanistan. 

Lapis lazuli is found in limestone in the Kokcha River valley of Badakhshan province in north-eastern Afghanistan, where the Sar-i Sang mine deposits have been worked for more than 6,000 years. Afghanistan was the source of lapis for the ancient Egyptian and Mesopotamian civilizations, as well as the later Greeks and Romans.

This eggs are mounted in brass support on black lacquered wood bases.

The name came from the first findings of this elusive specimen that have been found in Labrador, Canada.
