As mineralized water flows through the hollow spaces, it begins to deposit layers of minerals, starting with Agate. Once this foundational layer is formed, conditions become ideal for Quartz—and eventually Amethyst—crystals to grow. Amethyst typically forms at low temperatures, often below 100°C, and sometimes as low as 60°C.

Color exibits from brownish red to orange this colours is due to the iron presence during its formation. Carnelian is a chalcedony, very close to agate with a harness of seven in the Mohs scale. Carnelian doesn’t show the same type of banding as agate and the color is softer in appearence.
