The Linckia white sea star, also known as the white Linckia starfish, is a species of sea star often found in the warm, tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific, including the Philippines. These fascinating marine creatures are part of the genus Linckia, which is known for its remarkable ability to regenerate lost arms and even develop an entirely new individual from a single arm in some cases. As the name suggests, these sea stars are predominantly white or off-white, often with a slightly textured or grainy appearance. They typically have five elongated, slender arms that radiate from a central disc and adult individuals can range from 8 to 12 inches (20–30 cm) across, depending on environmental conditions and food availability.

The gorgonians live between 20 and 100 meters deep in vertical walls. Like corals, gorgonians are animals living in sessile colonial polyps organized in a tree shape. Its structure is a skeleton both soft and hard, called gorgonine and they do not grow in the direction of the sun but perpendicular to the current in order to filter a maximum of waterflow. The species holds significant commercial importance across the Indo-Pacific, where it is sought after for its traditional hard shells or marketed as "soft-shelled" crabs, considered a delicacy in various Asian cuisines. The species is highly valued, particularly in the Persian Gulf, where it is extensively harvested for meat consumption, with females commanding higher prices than males.

Noteworthy traits such as rapid growth, ease of larviculture, high fecundity, and relatively robust tolerance to both nitrate and ammonia make Portunus pelagicus an ideal candidate for aquaculture.

Megabalanus colonies can reach big size groups, they live attached to rocks and dead coral in watched areas, sometimes attached in boats.

That is the reason why this species can be found in all Indo-Pacific but also in some areas of South Atlantic. Due to the incredible forms and colors they make excellent bizarre decor items.

It's a species of very large sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Strombidae, the true conchs. The shell length for this species varies between 85 mm and 320 mm, usually to 170 mm. They have a very thick, robust and heavy shell, with a distinct anterior notch.

Its most prominent characteristic are the six long and curved marginal digitations, expanded from the flaring, thick outer lip and canals. The columella and aperture are lyrate. Female individuals are usually much larger than the male ones.

Spondylus usually attach themselves to rocks, corals, anything from time to time we found some surprising attachments, here we have a beautiful Sopndylus echinatus, from Philippines, attached in a black gorgonia trunk, making this piece very special.

This particular species sometimes can be found with some spectacular attachments, in this case a big size glass sponge among many other deep water shells.

This specimen was found in Punta Engano - Philippines in 1993 from the late Emmanuel G. de Suduiraut.

Gorgonocephalus - Astrospartus mediterraneus is a fantastic deep sea starfish.

These ones have been taken from a deep of 90 meters of Capo Vado, Savona Italy. It is necessary a special technique to dry and to keep it in a perfect shape, turning it a highly decorative and curious species. Sometimes they are attached to sponges and deep water corals.

This species habits until deeps of 800-900 meters.
